COLD Prepare To Enter Studio To Record "Year Of The Spider"
June 1, 2002COLD have completed the songwriting process for their new album, entitled Year Of The Spider, and will enter Bay 7 Studios in Los Angeles, California in July to begin recording the effort with producer Howard Benson (i.e. SEPULTURA, P.O.D., SKINDRED) for a tentative October 29th release through Geffen Records. 13 songs will reportedly be tracked for the album, including "Check Please" and "Kurt", the latter of which was written as a tribute to late NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain. As previously reported, Year Of The Spider will feature guest appearances from NONPOINT singer Elias Soriano and DOLLSHEAD's Sierra Swan, and will feature a much more melodic direction than in the past—"more like a heavy SADE record," according to singer Scooter Ward.
COLD will be playing the following shows during June:
Jun. 04 - Saratoga Springs, NY @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center
Jun. 24 - Cincinnati, OH @ Riverbend Music Center
